I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have recently relocated to Asheville from Vermont, where I was in private practice for 16 years. In my work with clients I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, family systems, dream work, and creative modalities, such as Sandtray Worldplay.
Cognitive Behavioral therapy can involve shifting of unrealistic or negative thinking, improved problem solving skills, improved communication skills, stress management, meditation and relaxation training. The goal of the psychodynamic psychotherapy is lasting psychological change, brought about through increased insight. These changes include:

Carol Greenberger is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been in private practice since 1992.
She received her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England in 1990.
She did a post graduate two year training at Jewish General Hospital in Montreal in Psychoanalytically Informed Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
And she trained with Auguste Elliot, M.A., for two years in Sandtray Worldplay.
Carol was a member of the Vermont Mental Health Counselor's Association, the Vermont Association for Psychoanalytic Studies (VAPS) and the VAPS Research Committee.
